Embedded power calculator demo
Once the method of analysis has been chosen, the sample size can be calculated using a power calculation.
The EDA power calculation tool can be used to calculate the sample size for experiments using a t-test. It can be found under the TOOLS menu in the editor window. For more information about using the correct power calculation for your experiment type click here
In the power calculation tool, enter the parameters for the experiment. Using the tabs at the top of the power calculation window choose either a paired or an unpaired t-test, depending on your experimental design.
You can also use the power calculation here outside the context of a model, or launch it in a popup window.
Fill out all fields except the N per group, and click Calculate. The number of experimental units per group will be displayed in the field N per group. For more information about the parameters in a power calculation click here.
